Kim Hoyer
Kim began performing at the tender age of 2-1/2 and has been singing ever since. She credits Judy Garland and Billie Holiday as the singers who most influenced her with their style, grace and capacity to touch people. Kim received a BA in music at FAU with her primary instrument being her voice and she was a vocalist with the FAU Vocal Jazz Quartet and Jazz Ensemble plus she was the lead vocalist for the FAU Jazz Band and with them performed at the Montreaux Jazz Festival.
Professionally she has performed with the “Songs Of Broadway Review” and Gilbert & Sullivan’s “The Mikado”. Kim has appeared with Just Jazz, Dick Williams, The Dick Culley Big Band, The Gary Laurence Big Band, , The French Bistro, The Riverwalk Jazz Café, The Private Club Room of The Boca Raton Hotel and she has opened for Ray Brown, Jr. Critics and audiences agree that Kim Hoyer is a very special talent destined to become a major star. Most recently Kim appears on "Friends And Family" singing a duet with Ray Brown Jr. Their version of "Laughter In The Rain" is sure to become a smooth jazz favorite.
Once you have heard and seen Kim Hoyer you will never forget her. With style, grace, beauty and an unforgettable voice, Kim is a treasure for all to enjoy. Kim has signed with SRI Jazz and her debut SRI Jazz CD is scheduled for release by the end of the year.
